1912: Born in Soultz ( Haut-Rhin) Alsace, France, 26 January.

Studied in the Redemptorist minor Seminaries in Alsace and Switzerland.

1931: Made his religious profession as a Redemptorist on September 8.

1936: Ordained priest, August 2.

1937-1940: Studied in the Gregorian University, Rome, for a license in Theology and in the Biblical Institute. Studies interrupted several times because of the war.

1940: Professor of Scripture (New Testament) in the Redemptorist House of Studies in Echternach, (Luxembourg) and later at Souscreyrac (Lot) France.

1950: Publication of The Resurrection of Jesus, the mystery of salvation. (Published by Xavier Mappus) This book was translated into various languages including German, English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese etc.

1952-1951: Superior Provincial of the Province of Strasbourg.

1954: Publication of ‘Charity according to the Synoptics and the Epistles of St. Paul’.

1960: Publication of ‘In the Redeeming Christ’ (Xavier Mappus).

1961-1971: Professor in the Lumen Vitae Institute, Brussels.

1970: Publication of ‘Le mystère pascal source de l’apostolat (Ed. Ouvrières)

1971: Publication of L’Eucharistie présence du Christ (Ed. Ouvrières)

1980: Publication of L’Eucharistie, sacrement pascal (Cerf)

1971-1984: Professor in the Religious Pedagogical Centre of the University of Metz (Lorraine, France).

1982: On the occasion of his 70^th birthday a group of theologians published a Festschrift entitled La Pâque du Christ, mystère de salut (Cerf).

1983: Publication of L’Esprit Saint de Dieu’ (Cerf).

1985: Publication of Eucharistie das österliche Sakrament

 (Vier-Türme Verlag, Münsterschwartzach).

1987: Publication of Le Père. Dieu en son mystère (Cerf).

1989: Publication of L’Esprit du Père et du Fils (Médiaspaul).

1990: Publication of Marie, Méditation devant l’Icône (Médiaspau/Paulines).

1991. Publication of Le Christ, l’homme et la mort (Médiaspaul).

1994: Publication of Regards chrétiens sur l’au-delà (Médiaspaul).

1996: Conferred with Doctorate honoris causa by the Alphonsian Academy (7 December).

1997: Publication of Jésus Fils de Dieu dans l’Esprit Saint (Desclée).

1999: Publication of Aux sources de l’apostolat. L’apôtre et l’eucharistie (Médiaspaul).

2001: Publication of Christ notre Pâque (Nouvelle Cité).

2005: Died at Ostwald (Alsace, France) 15 October.
